Background
Since the release of Rhino4 spring 2007, we have been developing a new version
of madCAM to optimise the integration of new CNC tools with Rhinos improved
modelling functions. We are building on the success already achieved with MadCAM
for Rhino V3.
To satisfy the demand for more sophisticated machine control we have introduced
re-machining and 5 axis functions to our 3 axis software. The software has been
developed within our own mould making division, ensuring immediate and practical
feed back. In this way we are confident that MadCAM achieves an unparalleled
level of control and machining quality. We needed to get it right because we use
it every day in our own production.
Over view
Create a new model in Rhino or import it from many other systems and MadCAM will
generate toolpaths directly. MadCAM is fully integrated into the Rhino platform.
Menus are automatically set up and easy to use for an completely seamless
interface.
Both menus and toolpaths are saved within the rhino file. toolpaths can be
edited like any other Rhino entity giving you complete control over your final
tool path and code generation. Once created, you can see the effects of the
toolpath in the simulator.
Each tool path is created on its own layer and can be post processed
independently for machines without automatic tool changing or collectively for
those machines with automatic tool changing.
Entry level 3 axis version – many tool makers,
pattern makers, mould makers, wood machinists and sculptors will find our 3 axis
version sufficient for their needs. With the entry level version you will be
able to achieve:
• 2,5D machining,
• Drilling,
• 3D Roughing,
• 3D Z-level and Planar finishing,
• Pencil Tracing,
• boundary and regions
from curves,
• automatic steep or flat surface machining from surface angle limit,
• 3D curve milling and engraving,
• optimised tool path generation and linking with operator optional control,
• radial and ramp lead-in,
• cutter tool creation and saving,
•
3D material removal cut simulator,
• customizable post processors.
The Expert Level 5 axis version brings with it
re-machining and indexed 5 axis control for use with an indexed machine table.
You may find this extra degree of sophistication necessary for your particular
projects.
This version will achieve all of the 3 axis function above and additionally
enable:
• full 2D and 3D indexed machining in the round using an
5 axis machine,
• 4-axis parallel finishing,
• automatic re-machining to optimise cutting detailed areas were required,
• cut surfaces only option,
• automatic tool path smooth corners option.
Free post processors
MadCAM includes all of the most popular post processors including standard ISO
g-code, Heidenhain, Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Prototrak, Roland, Mach 2 and Mach 3.
In the unlikely event your machine is not able to use one of our standard post
processors, we will write one specifically for you to enable you to evaluate the
software.
What if I don't use Rhino?
Rhino is an exceptionally easy to use, easy to learn, highly capable 3D modeller
with a very flexible modelling processes. It also has one of the very best
translators to enable you to swap files. Together MadCAM and Rhino still offer
exceptional value for money when compared with competing software. Some
customers will find the file translation utilities within Rhino to be worth the
purchase price alone, but most will soon find the modelling tools and mesh
handling tools become daily visitors to their screens.

as a demonstration version for 30 days, after such time it will cease to work..

as you choose.
